How to take your measurements

Grab a soft measuring tape and follow these simple steps. If you don’t have a fabric tape measure, use a piece of string and measure it against a ruler afterward.

Step 1: Bust Measurement
  • Where to measure: The fullest part of your chest
  • What to wear: A well-fitted, non-padded bra (the type you’d normally wear)
  • How to measure: Wrap the tape around your back and across the fullest part of your bust. Keep the tape parallel to the floor and ensure it’s not twisted
  • Pro tip: Stand naturally with your arms relaxed at your sides. Don’t hold your breath or pull the tape too tight—it should sit comfortably against your skin
  • Where to measure: Your natural waistline (the narrowest part of your torso, typically 2.5–5 cm above your belly button)
  • How to measure: Wrap the tape around your waist while standing straight. The tape should be snug but not compressing your skin
  • Pro tip: Breathe normally and don’t suck in! Bend to the side—where you naturally crease is your natural waist
  • Where to measure: The fullest part of your hips and buttocks (usually 18–23 cm below your natural waist)
  • How to measure: Stand with your feet together and wrap the tape around the widest part of your hips. Keep the tape parallel to the floor
  • Pro tip: If you’re measuring for pants or skirts, consider measuring while wearing underwear similar to what you’d wear with the garment
  • Between sizes? Check the product description for fit notes (e.g., “runs small” or “relaxed fit”) and consider sizing up for a comfortable fit or down for a sleeker silhouette
  • Measure twice, order once: Double-check your measurements before each purchase
  • Fabric matters: Stretchy fabrics are more forgiving, while structured materials need precise measurements
